Organization of the CFM International symposium in Brussels
In summer 2019, evea had the chance to discover the beautiful Belgian capital and stay in its most prestigious hotel, the Plaza. The occasion: the CFM International symposium, the famous joint venture between Snecma (Safran) and General Electric. At the helm, a strong team capable of meeting any challenge: ours!
The challenge
- Reservation of a mythical hotel in the city of Brussels with reception areas for 350 people
- Control room for the 4 days of conferences, plenary sessions and side-meetings
- Organization of 2 Airbus and Boeing gala evenings with entertainment, awards, aperitif and catering
With more than 300 people coming from all around the world, our team has revised its language courses to give the best welcome to the speakers and the participants. Our project managers, who are now multilingual, have also become knowledgeable about aeronautical engineering!
The keys to success
A thorough preparation, a perfect coordination and a good pair of shoes to keep the pace! After a first day of intense assembly, our team could only admire the reception venue selected for its refinement and its exceptional location in the heart of Brussels: the 460 m² theater of the Plaza Hotel, a space classified for its historical value with Belle-Epoque architecture.
To guarantee the success of the event during the day and in the evening, we decided to honor two emblematic places of the city of Brussels: the Chalet Robinson on its island in the Bois de la Cambre, and the famous Belgian Comic Strip Center, where the participants could enjoy a private exhibition followed by a fancy dinner.
One more experience
Reception, control room, room reservations, animations… our agency was able to activate all the levers of event communication to organize CFM International’s largest meeting. After 4 days of conferences and 2 gala evenings, the team was delighted to see its long months of preparatory work crowned with success!
